Frequently Asked Questions

When are ear tubes necessary?

Ear tubes are necessary when children have frequent or persistent ear infections and they are not responsive to medical therapy.

Typically when a child has very frequent tonsillitis, we will recommend the procedure or when the tonsils are so large they cause a partial airway obstruction during sleep.

This procedure is considered when a child either has a persistent nasal congestion, snores loudly at night or has frequent sinus infections.
