What is Inspire?

Inspire therapy is a surgically implanted device that works within your body to treat sleep apnea. Once activated, Inspire continuously monitors your breathing patterns as you sleep. The system automatically delivers mild stimulation to key airway muscles, which keeps the airway open based on your unique sleeping and breathing patterns.

The Inspire system consists of three implanted components including a small generator, breathing sensor lead, and stimulation lead, all controlled with the small handheld Inspire sleep remote.

Thoughtful patient selection, selective stimulation of targeted airway muscles, and optimal stimulation timing all play an important role in maintaining airway patency and improving patient outcomes.
